Various Allowances to The BSF personnel

House Rent Allowance

Education Qualification

For the post of GD a person must have the qualification till the matriculation level or any other equivalent exam with Science and English as subject. This is the lowest education qualification required for any person to enter in the Army.

Age Limit

The minimum age required for the candidates is 18 years and the maximum is 21 years students who are in the last year of their schools can also apply for this post.

Physical Measurements

As it is a join which required heavy physical strength so they must be fit and have the physical qualities as set by the Indian Army


The minimum height required for the candidates is 167 cm but relaxation is also given to the candidates of a different region


The candidates must have a chest of minimum 77 cm and should have the expansion of 5cm.
